Introduction
At this screen, you can search for serial/batch item transactions. This function enables you to view the item transactions for each serial/batch item and the financial entries for the item transactions, and to modify the serial/batch number details.

Description
You can search for the serial/batch numbers you want to display. To display the serial/batch numbers, you can define one or more of the following criteria and click Refresh. The serial/batch numbers that match the criteria you have defined are then displayed.
Previous
Click this to return to the previous page.
Next
Click this to display the next page.
Rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, the Previous and Next buttons will be enabled.
Filter
Click the required option to filter the search that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.
Date
Type or select a date or date range to search for the serial/batch numbers that are valid beginning from the selected date. Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all dates.
Note: Typing or selecting only the date will display the serial/batch numbers that will start on and after the selected date.
Number
Type or select a serial/batch number to display the serial/batch number details. Select the All check box to display all serial/batch numbers.
Our ref.
Type a reference number to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to transactions with the internal reference number (Our ref.). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all reference numbers.
Item code
Type or select an item code to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to the item. Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to all serial/batch items.
GL account
Type or select a GL account to display the serial/batch numbers with inventory transactions that are recorded in the account. Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all GL accounts.
Project
Type or select a project code to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to the project. Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to all projects.
Debtor
Type or select the debtor number to display the serial/batch numbers for items that are delivered to the debtor. Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for items delivered to any debtors.
Cost center
Type or select the cost center or range of cost centers to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to the cost center(s). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all cost centers.
Location
Type or select the location or range of locations to display the serial/batch numbers for items that are stored in the warehouse location(s). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all locations.
Cost unit
Type or select the cost unit or range of cost units to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to the cost unit(s). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to any cost units.
Description
Type a full or partial serial/batch number description to display the serial/batch numbers that matches the description.
Warehouse
Type or select a warehouse or range of warehouses to display the serial/batch numbers that are linked to items stored in the warehouse(s). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers for all warehouses.
Lot number
Type or select a lot number or range of lot numbers to display the serial/batch numbers for items with the lot number(s). Select the All check box to display the serial/batch numbers of items for all the lot numbers.
The following information is available at the bottom of the screen:
- Rows — This indicates the total records found from the search.
- Debit — This indicates the total amount of all the individual amounts in the debit column.
- Credit — This indicates the total amount of all the individual amounts in the credit column.
- Balance — This indicates the total balance of all the individual amounts in the balance column. It is also the difference between the debit and credit total amount obtained by subtracting the total credit amount from the total debit amount (Debit - Credit).
- In — This indicates the total quantity of all the quantities in the In column.
- Out — This indicates the total quantity of all the quantities in the Out column.
- Balance — This indicates the total balance of all the quantities obtained by subtracting the total issued quantities from total received quantities (In - Out).
Buttons
Note: Without selecting any serial/batch numbers, only the Refresh, Print, Clear, and Close buttons are enabled. Once you select a serial/batch number, the Zoom button is enabled.
Refresh
Click this to display the serial/batch numbers based on the defined criteria.
Note: This button will be replaced by the Back button after you zoom into an item transaction.
Back
Click this to return to the previous screen. This button is available only after you have selected a serial/batch number and click Zoom.
Note
Click this to add or view a note for the selected serial/batch number. Type or edit a note, click Timestamp, Save and then Close to exit.
Note: This button is enabled if there is a note linked to the item card for the specific transaction of the serial/batch number.
Transactions
Click this to view the financial transactions for the selected serial/batch number. For more information, see Viewing transactions.
Project
Click on this to view the project details for the serial/batch number.
Note: This button is enabled when the serial/batch number is linked to a project.
Creditor card
Click this to view the creditor card for the selected serial/batch number. For more information, see Viewing creditor cards.
Debtor card
Click this to view the debtor card for the selected serial/batch number. For more information, Viewing debtor cards.
Item card
Click this to view the item card for the selected serial/batch number. For more information, see Viewing item cards.
Maintain
Click this to view or maintain the selected serial/batch numbers. For more information, see Creating and maintaining serial-batch numbers
Zoom
Click this to view the details of the selected serial/batch number transactions.
Print
Click this to generate a preview and print the serial/batch number item transactions report.
Clear
Clear to clear the search results.
Close
Close to exit.
